With our much anticipated movies being cancelled left, right and centre, every time we hear an “update” our heart sinks. However, Nia DaCosta’s Candyman has so far managed to survive the barrage of knockbacks. After a bizarre year, it would be nice to end on a high note. This may well be possible with Candyman cited for a mid-October release. Yet, as we all know, 2020 has been harsh to us thus far and it won’t come as a surprise if the movie does get pushed into 2021 with the others.
However, the positive update we have today comes in the form of the MPAA’s recently announced rating of Candyman. The movie has been rated R due to “Bloody horror violence, and language including some sexual references.” This will surely come as no surprise to horror fans who have seen the trailer.
Given that the original Candyman (and all of its subsequent sequels) was rated R, it looks promising that DaCosta’s movie will pay homage to its predecessors on the gore/violence front. If you’ve not yet seen the trailer (or just want a reminder) you can check it out below. With less than three months before the potential release date we’re all waiting with baited breath. However, if you’d like to see Candyman sooner, you could always find your nearest mirror and say his name five times!

Well the tracks have been selected, the content organised and now all we need is the equipment and we can get recording!
All the gear was ordered two weeks ago so we should be expecting delivery any day now! (Fingers crossed right?)
You can hear the show before anyone else, exclusively, on Erebus Horror. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone to tune in at 11pm as we do an hour countdown to midnight; playing awesome tracks, discussing a range of topics and much more!
Radio Horror’s future depends on YOU. We need at least 500 listeners in order to make this a regular thing so make sure you tell everyone you know to tune in!
I may not have a voice for radio (in fact I’ve been compared to a common, northern chav! (aka. hoodlum, thug, all round asshole – for our international followers)) But hopefully you will overlook my unfortunate dialect and focus on the content brought for your ears only.
Not much else to say really, except that I hope you enjoy the show and offer us as much feedback as possible in order for us to make it the best it can be.
