Candyman Release delayed! Yes, we’re sorry to report that Nia DaCosta’s spiritual sequel is the latest casualty of 2020. Universal Pictures have confirmed that they are no longer releasing Candyman on the 16th October.
This may have been expected, with countless other movies falling to the same fate. But, with only a month to go before the flick hit our screens, the news will still be a huge disappointment to many.
Worse still, Universal Pictures have not confirmed WHEN the new release date will be. All we know is that is will be sometime in 2021! Hopefully we will be able to update you with a new release date soon.
With Anthony’s painting career on the brink of stalling, a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer (Colman Domingo) exposes Anthony to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind Candyman. Anxious to maintain his status in the Chicago art world, Anthony begins to explore these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, unknowingly opening a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifyingly viral wave of violence that puts him on a collision course with destiny.
Candyman release delayed, BUT we’ve still got the trailer to tide us over, right?
