An uneventful road trip home turns into a journey straight from Hell for two unsuspecting college kids, Trish and Darry. A heart stopping high-speed pursuit down a deserted highway leads to a terrifying discovery: their pursuer has more in store for them than they ever imagined.
This was one hell of a movie presented to us by the great Francis Ford Coppola. The movie starts off like your average horror flick – kids in a car end up almost killed by a deranged guy driving a Honky Tonk van (similar to Roadkill). The unique twist comes when it emerges that the driver of the van is not human at all, in fact he is a hungry demon on a murderous rampage, taking pieces of his victims that he finds appealing. What started out as your standard horror movie suddenly turns into an edge-of-your-seat demonic ride as the pair flee from the ever-present monster.
Good cast, great effects and a unique storyline gives this movie top marks. Definitely one for any horror fans collection.
