It’s been a while since I’ve sat back and read a collection of horror shorts, but after reading a great bunch this past week, I’ll definitley be giving them a go more often. I’m sure many people, like myself, struggle to find the time to enjoy their daily fix of horror whilst trying to lead everyday lives. With horror shorts we’re able to do just that. Even if you only find ten minutes to spare, that’s often enough to read a short story and come away with a feeling of satisfaction.

Fear in Words: Volume one by Jason Darrick is a prime example of  why horror shorts are a key part of our dark culture. Five short stories of varying lengths and multiple topics including: cannibalism, torture and extreme S&M. These tales of macabre will satisfy even the most twisted minds, with blood and gore practically oozing from the pages as you are drawn deeper into Darrick’s sadistic world of mankind at its worst. Each story engages the reader, enticing us to read on. The dialogue flows well and description, particularly of the gore-filled scenes, is of the highest detail.

Jason Darrick has certainly established himself within the horror community, but being an indie author means he needs your help.
